Based on the C-IED Action Plan assigned tasks to the C-IED COE as the “Out of Theatre Co-coordinator of C-IED Lessons Learned Data Base Manager” and the supporting task as the Content Manager for a C-IED Information portal, ACT and JALLC have developed the concept for the establishment of the “C-IED Community of Interest” in the NATO Lessons Learned Portal and requested the C-IED COE to take over the content management for that portal.

 

Today the Counter IED Centre of Excellence (C-IED COE) is pleased to announce that the NATO C-IED Community of Interested (COI) is established as a JALLC–COE joint common effort. As the NATO “Out of Theatre Co-coordinator of C-IED Lessons Learned Data Base Manager” the C-IED COE is encouraging all NATO entities and all nations to share Lessons Learned, Lessons Identified, observations, knowledge and other C-IED related information related to the three C-IED Activity Pillars Attack the Networks, Defeat the device and Prepare the Force.

The classified and unclassified versions of the CIED Community of Interest are established to be the collective web based “One Stop Shop” to share, collect and disseminate C-IED related information.

To join the internet/NU version of C-IED Community of Interest in the NATO Lessons Learned Portal (NLLP) you need to follow the next steps:

1. If you are not AIS domain (read more on the NLLP Home page) and you don't have a NLLP account, you need to register on the NLLP. (https://nllp.jallc.nato.int/Pages/default.aspx). When you register make sure that you “check in” the “C-IED Community of Interest” box.
2. If you already have a NLLP account, sign in to the NLLP and apply to get access to the C-IED COI portal: (https://nllp.jallc.nato.int/Pages/default.aspx). Go to “my account”. Click on “edit”. Go to Area of interest and “click” on the “C-IED box”.
3. Send an e-mail to the Lessons Learned portal manager (CommunityPOC@ciedcoe.org) with your username and state that you applying to get access to the C-IED COI portal.

To join the classified version of C-IED Community of Interest in the NATO Lessons Learned Portal (NLLP) you need to follow the next steps:

1. If you don't have a NLLP account, you need to register on the NLLP. (https://nllp.jallc.nato.int/Pages/default.aspx).
2. Send an e-mail on NS network to C-IED Community of Interest manager (ntornesjo@CIED.ESP.BICES.org) with your username and state that you applying to get access to the C-IED COI. Please note, only members of the CoI will have the authority to post and/or download information. For further details you can contact the C-IED COI managers through email or use the forum functionality on the COI page.
