How to make a Search in the Portal
There are 3 different ways of accessing the Search tool: from the Home Page “Search bar", from the “Main Menu" and from “My Saved Searches".
Database outcome will depend on next options selected: Search Observations & Lessons, Search Documents and Search All.
Search Observations & Lessons
This include only items (Observations, LI, LL, BP…) collected in the NLLP in three different boxes users can select:
"Advanced Filters" applies to Date, Activity, Originator's HQ, Originating Authority, visibility, algorithm and/or, exercise stage, AB, TA, Domain Disciplines and DOTMLPF-1.
"Reorder Results" tool allows users to select: Title, Originator's HQ, Visibility, Submitted On, Activity and Status.
Number of results displayed can be increased by clicking in “See More".
There is an option “Export to Excel" available, and also a “Save a search" to be used later."Refiners" option includes more filters to the query.Another way to find easily Observations & Lessons is using hashtags. When creating an observation it's necessary to assign it a hashtag (#xxxxxxxxxxxxx) in the Keywords field (Categories), and after that you can use “My Saved Searches" based on those hashtags, and manage those observations later.
