Sharing document process
 
 

​The value of the Lessons Learned (LL) process is only realized when the information generated by the process is available to the people who need it, when they need it. LL information sharing generates organizational knowledge and leads to an enduring improvement in organizational performance.

These are few ways of sharing in the lessons learned environment: 

  • Sharing information through NATO Lessons Learned Portal (NLLP).
  • Sharing as a request for support from other organizations.
  • Training events are good opportunities to share recent lessons.

It could be shared:

  • Observations and lessons included in all types of reports produced by the organizations.
  • Documents with impact on Lessons Learned Capability as a whole.
  • Lessons Learned Legacy related documents considered as valuable for LL community.

Please do not underestimate the power of sharing knowledge! Contributions are welcome!

You want to submit a document:

You have to be logged in and go to Share a Document. Follow the indications available above the button Add Document. Make sure that all criteria are respected and all metadata properly inserted. The size of the document should not exceed 15 MB.

Title: Title of the document.

Classification: In accordance with "The Management of Non-Classified NATO Information"; C-M(2002)60; 11 July 2002.

Originator: the Nation or International Organisation under whose authority the information has been produced or introduced into NATO.

Document Date: Date of release/publication of the document by the Originator.

Reference: i.e. document's registration number or another numbering that can facilitate the search for documents.

Keywords can be used to further define and categorize the entry, assisting the search for documents. Each word or expression should be separated by a semicolon and a space. Ex: Space; GPS; Environment. Acronyms and abbreviations can be used if fully expanded in the entry.​
