The JALLC's Data Analysis Team has launched a new area in the NLLP to promote the sharing and utilization of its NATO Lessons Learned Portal (NLLP) Active Content Management (ACM) products.
The JALLC has a remit to conduct NLLP ACM, which is defined as “a continuous activity that includes analysis and assessment of data and information, to monitor and assess the conduct of the LL process, to reach out to the Originating Authority, Tasking Authority and Action Body for coordination and advice as required, to identify trends and strategic lessons, to monitor lessons from major NATO events (exercises and operations) and to push information to relevant authorities" (Bi-SC Dir 080-006). This year, the JALLC broadened its ACM deliverables to include the production of ad-hoc products on specific topics of interest to customers. These products have been used to inform discussions at NATO committees and working groups, as well as potential doctrinal changes.
To promote the sharing and utilization of these ad-hoc products among NLLP users, the products have been published in a new area of the NLLP, accessed via the LL Activity/Network tab on the NLLP homepage. The products to-date cover various topics, including COVID-19, Resilience, Suppression of Enemy Air Defence, PSYSOPS, cyber-attacks and standardisation and interoperability of Maritime and Land Materiel. The products are shared on the NATO UNCLASSIFIED (NU) and NATO SECRET (NS) NLLP depending on their classification. Some products on the NU NLLP are unclassified versions of the original products on the NS NLLP.
If you are interested in requesting a NLLP ACM product on a specific topic of interest, please complete the Request for Information (RFI) form (found here). Before submitting the RFI to the JALLC, we recommend contacting the JALLC points of contact (available here) for initial coordination.
