The JALLC has published the second of three NATO Lessons Learned (LL) Portal (NLLP) Analysis Newsletters of 2024, covering NLLP submissions and staffing activity over 01 May – 31 August 2024 period. The newsletter aims to facilitate the exploitation of the valuable LL information contained within the NLLP by all NATO staff to ensure NATO continues to be a learning organization, and inform LL stakeholders on the status of lessons progressing through the NATO LL Process within the NLLP to help them to understand if intervention is needed to facilitate/accelerate the process.
The newsletter focuses on NLLP content deemed relevant to the Two Strategic Commands' (Bi-SC) priorities for JALLC analysis in 2024: Russia's war against Ukraine; LL sharing among the Allies; current and potential future threats shaping Education & Training within NATO command; Allied Reaction Force implementation; activation and execution of the Deterrence and Defence of the Euro-Atlantic Area Family of Plans; Joint Effects; and Enablement and Sustainment. It also contains an overview of the NATO LL Process staffing activity during the period, highlighting potential issues with the conduct of the process.
The next newsletter will be published in early 2025 and will cover 01 September – 31 December 2024. Please contact the JALLC at ACM@jallc.nato.int if you have any comments or feedback on the newsletter. You can find other NLLP content analysis products in the NLLP Active Content Management Community of Interest.
